On the underside fragments of an adhesive label of the Remmler Gallery in Leipzig, one of the most important galleries during the Weimar Republic. H. 59 cm. - The theme of the young slender girl who clasps her hands at the back of her neck after waking from sleep is reminiscent of the 1904/05 figure 'Eos' by Fritz Klimsch, but formally the little-known sculptor shows an independent conception of the body. - Provenance: Remmler Gallery, Leipzig (old adhesive label); private property Schleswig-Holstein. - German sculptor, pupil of Robert Diez.
