拍品碗形规整，内外均以青花为饰，碗心环绘贯套如意纹，居中绘饰阴阳鱼，内口沿于金钱纹锦地内饰折枝花草纹，外口沿绘一周云肩纹，外壁近足处环饰变形莲瓣纹，花瓣状似如意，颇富巧思。整器纹饰层次分明，构图疏朗，描绘细腻，笔法飘逸，为嘉靖青花瓷之佳作，较为少见。香港苏富比曾于1997年拍出明嘉靖青花如意莲瓣纹碗，其形制、纹饰均与拍品相同，可资参阅。
