A Chinese Late Qing Dynasty Copper-red Bottle Vase, Yuhuchunping (Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi Mark)A magnificent copper-red glazed pear-shaped vase, known in China as yuhuchunping, the underglaze blue Qianlong mark in conjunction with the liver or sacrificial red, in this instance, identifying its imperial associationNote: A few rare mark and period examples exist from the reigns of Qianlong (1736 to 1795), Jiaqing (1796 to 1820), Daoguang (1820 to 1850) and Xianfeng (1850 to 1861). A rare survivor, from the short Xianfeng reign, is illustrated Fig.4 in “Allen’s Introduction to Later Chinese porcelain”.
