The body of inverted baluster form, the tall broad trumpet neck with additional middle register, decorated in bright shades of underglaze blue, the body painted with four large panels, each containing a scene of figures among pavilions and on a punt boat, all above a band of petal-shaped panels around the foot, each enclosing a peony bloom, the middle register decorated with a continuous scene of figures and pavilions beside a lake, the upper register decorated with double-petal shaped panels enclosing different scenes, including a figure by a shoreline and a child leading a water buffalo, with further peonies within pendant petal shaped panels around the mouth rim, the glazed base with an artemisia leaf within a double circle in underglaze blue. Period: Kangxi (1662-1722). Height: 51 cm.
