Formed of six panels, the front is finely decorated in crisp ink and colour with a watery landscape design of figures engaged in different activities, including kneeling before a shrine and unloading cargo from a small boat, all among thatched houses, pavilions and wooden piers along a shoreline, with monasteries and other buildings nestled among hills in the distance, all on a gold leaf background.
