Of cylindrical form, painted with Kui Xing poised upon a fish-dragon’s head in swirling waves, the God of Examinations shown mid-leap twisting at the torso and looking back, his robes billowing around him, holding a brush aloft in one hand and an ingot in the other, above Kui Xing a celestial constellation, the swirling waves extending around the brush pot which is further decorated with two rows of calligraphy and a seal, the slightly convex base with a glazed recessed medallion.
