Of circular deep form with broad everted rim, skillfully painted in the ’Master of the Rocks’ style, in shades of underglaze blue with a landscape scene of a robed figure bearing a gnarled slender walking stick apanied by an attendant, both standing beside a gnarled tree on the bank of a river surrounded by freely rendered rockwork, the underside is decorated with two further mountain scenes, the base glazed. Period: Shunzhi (1644-1661) or Kangxi (1662-1722). Length: 22.5 cm.
