The tall sides rising from a flat circular base to a tall neck with trumpet mouth, set with a pair of stylised chilong handles, decorated with bright famille rose enamels, the body with two large panels, one with a scene of warriors on a battlefield, the other with a scene of officials at court, all reserved against a dense ground of peony and lotus sprays, a band of chrysanthemum and lotus around the shoulder, the neck with two further panels, one with a scene of an official on horseback, the other with two warriors charging on galloping horses.
