Pair of lidded vases, China, 2nd half of the 19th century (late Qing). Lightly shouldered form with relief bands imitating bronze mountings. Cobalt blue decoration of a phoenix over a rock with flowers. Lids with figural knob, each with an incised mark on brown ground (brown etched mark) under the base. Both vases with a glue spot on the neck, one of the lids restored on the bottom, h. 32 cm.
