吴传麟，字于飞，斋号观波楼。祖籍山东淄川。拜李苦禅先生为师成为入室弟子伴随身边直至先生去世，深得其真传。1961年考入中央工艺美术学院（现清华大学美术学院）染织设计专业本科。生前为中国美术出版总社编审，曾任人民美术出版社现代美术编辑室副主任。中国美术家协会会员、中国书法家协会会员、中国工艺美术学会书画研究会理事。我国当代著名书画家、美术出版家和美术教育家。
