A Caughley 'Fisherman' or 'Pleasure Boat' coffee pot and covercirca 1775-80transfer-printed in underglaze blue with the main print and an associated cell diaper and spear-head border, painted Sx mark, 23.5cm high; sold together with a Caughley 'Parrot Pecking Fruit' jug, unmarked, 19cm high(2) Coffee pot - cover with stapled repair and sections missingJug - Fully restored with re-painting to the bird's tail and the flowers/fruit below it. Further over-painting to one of the subsidiary floral prints and to the upper rim and to the foliage/fruit below it. Appears to be hiding two previous cracks that run from the rim right through the length of the body. The restoration is slightly yellowed.
