来源法国私人收藏方炉分上下两部分，炉盖隆起，盖面及盖钮铜鎏金镂空，并由灵芝如意形开光等分，其内填缠枝花卉纹，四边火焰形出戟。盖钮为卧狮戏球，双目圆睁，躯体矫健，威猛庄严，颇具神采。炉身豉腹出戟，腹部掐丝饰饕餮纹，左右两侧各饰一只钢鎏金螭龙，攀爬于炉身，探头窥视炉内，形象生动。炉身下承四兽足，神采奕奕，造型夸张繁缛，倍添华绮。本品造型华丽，鎏金厚得锃亮，鎏金狮钮和鎏金螭龙耳尤见皇家气派，乃为宫廷殿堂陈设之重器。
