Sun Weimin, an oil painter, was born in Heilongjiang in 1946. Graduated from the middle school attached to the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1967. He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1987. Master candidate of oil painting department. He is a famous contemporary oil painter and the leader of contemporary Chinese oil painting academy. He is now a professor of the Central Academy of fine arts, director of the first studio of the oil painting department, vice chairman of Beijing Artists Association, director of Beijing oil painting art committee, and member of the oil painting art committee of China Artists Association.
