此毯以藏蓝为主色调，长方形，宝蓝、月白、姜黄、明黄为主色，色彩搭配和谐，台几瓶花、狮钮周鼎、书卷如意、金鱼双柿，纹饰简约，采用冷暖色对比法，晕染的花纹温雅含蓄，耐人品味。
博古图，又名钟鼎图，为摹写瓷、铜、玉、石等古代器物，典出汉代张衡《西京赋》中“雅好博古”之句，有博古通今、崇尚儒雅之寓意，若点缀装饰花卉、果品，又可称为“花博古”。花博古图是明清时期盛行的纹样，民间以花博古纹装饰的绒毯留存于世的较为少见。
