此例仿宋折沿制式，形如满月。折沿浅腹，平底内凹，坚白砂底，内外施郎窑红釉。郎窑红是清康熙仿明代宣德宝石红釉之作，釉色深沉凝厚，相传是康熙四十四年至五十一年，江西巡抚郞廷极所督官窑的产品，故称“郎窑红”。 康熙郎窑红釉有两种类型，一类为单层釉；另一类为双层釉，本品即为少见的双层釉。双层釉器，釉汁凝厚，釉面匀净，无垂流现象，更类鸽血红的色泽。乾隆御制诗有“世上朱砂非所拟，西方宝石致难同”的吟咏，乃清代单色釉中的名品，一直为藏家所重。
