明代在追古、慕古和嗜古之风气影响下，艺术创作盛行仿古，此瓶即为这一时期产物。以周汉古壶为原型，加以创作。此拍品圆形敞口，细长束颈，双兽环耳，丰肩，鼓腹，高束足，外撇。器形典雅大度，周正古拙，庄重肃穆。璎珞纹处嵌宝石，口沿包回纹，兽耳作狮头状，毛髮弯卷，面目清晰，富有仿古情韵。璎珞纹最早多出现在佛像或宗教器物上，入明以后，逐渐脱离佛像独立使用，成为佛教的象征，同样也是一种极为奢华的官办造器装饰手法。
