Below the top rim is a ring of gold paint and an illustrated scene of a bird under chrysanthemums. Chrysanthemums, which bloom during autumn, pair nicely with the inscribed poem describing autumn. The artist's signature follows the poem and on the bottom is the blue and white Guangxu six-character seal mark, indicating that the object was produced by the Imperial kiln during Guangxu period. The incense holder comes with an original mahogany base. Qianjiangcai enamelled porcelains are always highly sought after by collectors for their great aesthetics and value.
