Ca. 600 AD A beautiful gold cruciform pendant with hollow arms tapering in towards the centre. At the junction a large raised setting with garnet cabochon framed with a filigree border. To each corner is a pair of fine globules. The item has undergone X-ray fluorescence analysis to confirm the metallurgical content suggesting its ancient origin and lack of modern trace elements.
