Ca. 900-1100 AD A forged-iron axe head of an interesting form with a curved tip along the lower portion of the blade edge. The rest of the tool features a gradually widening neck and a socketing shaft backed with a tall panel for added stability. The axe head is decorated with two panels of double dots with central zigzags, above this a long panel of dots covering from the sockets to the blade.
