A CHINESE BLUE-GROUND GILT-DECORATED 'DRAGON' DISH. Qing Dynasty, Guangxu mark and of the period. The robustly potted body resting on a short foot decorated with an even dark blue glaze and painted in gilt with a pair of scaly five-clawed dragons contesting the sacred pearl of wisdom among fire wisps and stylised clouds, with floral scrolls to the reverse, the base glazed white and with a six character iron-red mark, together with a wood stand, 40.5cm diameter.
