拍品以纯金打造，时代气息鲜明。瑞狮蜷身伏卧，双目圆凸，如意鼻精巧，阔吻微启，憨态可掬，身躯健硕，毛发肌理鲜明，颈部狮鬃盘旋如螺髻。狮子自古以来是雕塑器物中常见的使用题材，取其祥瑞之意，传说释迦佛出生时，一手指天，一手指地，作狮子之吼云：“天上天下，唯我独尊”。又说“释家以狮子勇敢精进，为文殊菩萨骑者”，认为它是高贵尊严的“灵兽”，有护法辟邪的作用等等，所以狮子被认为是一种威严吉祥的动物。
