A late 19th / early 20thC copper medal / medallion designed by Ella Casella (1858-1946) depicting the French neurologist / professor of anatomical pathology, Jean Martin Charcot, the reverse depicting a seated figure of Asclepius on a rock holding his staff with snake, cockerel / rooster, dog, goat and eagle. Approx. 3 3/4" diameter. Together with a German copper plaque depicting a relief portrait of Julius Spiro.
