|此件香炉为朝冠耳式，耳下设铺首，宽口沿，束颈，圆腹，下承三兽首形足。通体以青花为饰。双耳饰折枝花卉纹，口沿外饰卷草纹，颈部饰如意头纹，腹部饰四爪龙飞腾云间。器形敦厚，青花描绘纹饰洒脱，发色深沉浓艳。明代宫廷等级制度森严，龙象征皇家天子，只有皇帝才能使用五爪龙，而王爷则只能用四爪的龙，又称为蟒，地位低下者则不能使用龙纹或蟒纹。此件香炉饰四爪龙，虽不是皇家御用之器，但使用者地位尊贵，毋庸置疑。||参阅：《瓷器上的龙纹特展目录》，图42，台北故宫博物院，1983年11月
