TWO DEHUA FIGURES OF SAMANTABHADRA AND MANJUSHRILATE QING DYNASTY-REPUBLIC PERIOD, THE FIGURE OF SAMANTABHADRA SIGNED XU YUNLINEach bodhisattva is seated in dhyanasana on a lotus pedestal and wearing long flowing robes exposing an elaborate beaded necklace above a dhoti tied at the waist. Manjusri is shown riding on a Buddhist lion and holding a ruyi scepter. Samantabhadra is shown riding on an elephant and holding a scepter in the form of a lotus frond.
