HENNAGE ACQUISITION FUND FOUR FAMILLE-VERTE DISHESKangxi period prising: A pair of scallop-rimmed and molded shell-shaped dishes, each painted in enamels and gilt with butterflies and peonies to the oval center below a lambrequin border, the exterior with four simple flower sprays and a band of classic scroll and half flower-heads below the rim, each foot-rim with an original single hole for suspension; together with a pair of circular saucer dishes, each painted in bright enamels with gilt highlights with a central scene of a pair of peacocks standing amidst rockwork, flowering peonies, chrysanthemums, and daisies with a butterfly above, the rim with a band of further branches of blossom and lotus, the reverse side with trailing flower sprays, the bases with double encircled underglaze-blue leaf marks.
