Edgefield District, SC, Decorated Storage Jar, Attributed Collin Rhodes Factory Shaw s Creek, 1811-1881, approximately 6 gallon ovoid form with applied handles, olive-green alkaline glazed stoneware, both sides decorated in kaolin slip. One side is decorated with facing flower stems, the opposite side decorated with the dated 1854 above a small flower, the whole encircled by a looping wreath. The jar retains its original accumulated aged surface. 18 3/4 x 12 x 12 in.
