A SMALL CLOISONNE ENAMEL 'SHOU' BOX AND COVER, QIANLONG China, 1736-1795. Of domed circular form, supported on a short foot, finely enameled with a central stylized shou character encircled by lotus blossoms and foliate scroll against a turquoise ground, the rims and base gilt.

Provenance: British trade.
Condition: Overall good condition with some old wear and traces of use, mostly to the edges, as well as expected manufacturing flaws, such as scattered pitting, and few minuscule nicks and light scratches to the rims.
