Pair of amphorae for garniture; late 19th - early 20th century. Marble and gilt bronze fittings. Measurements: 32 x 11 x 10 cm (x2). Pair of amphorae with an ovoid vessel made of white marble, with brownish veins that give a totally expressive character to the piece. The rest of the ornamental elements that make up both vessels are made of gilded bronze, cast in relief with cold-chiselled details. They consist of a round base with a smooth, moulded finish, on top of which is the foot, which consists of a bronze base with decorative vegetal elements, worked in the synthetic, refined style typical of the period. The bronze ornamentation is particularly noteworthy for the quality of the chiselling, which reproduces the aesthetics of filigree work with great expressiveness. The ovoid shape of the body is surmounted by a long neck that forms the junction with the vessel.
