Edwardian clock; England, c. 1900. Wood. Precisely set. Measurements. 29 x 20 x 20 x 15 cm. English desk or office clock in the Edwardian style supported on four gilt legs, on which a volumetric body rises following an architecturally inspired structure, with a base, main body and cornice in the form of a pointed arch. The front is decorated with marquetry and mouldings, also in the form of small motifs that combine stylised vegetal elements and geometric forms. In the main body, the two columns on the sides of the main body stand out, with a helicoidal finish, following the models of the Solomonic columns. The dial, which occupies a large part of the front, has Roman numerals enamelled in black on a silver background, and pike-type hands.
