A Nantgarw part service c.1818-20, painted in London in the Sèvres manner, each piece with a central spray of dog rose within wide borders of repeated stylized sprigs in gilt and green, impressed marks to some. Comprising: a two-handled dish, a shaped quatrefoil dish, a slop bowl, a cabinet cup and saucer, and a taperstick. (6) Provenance: the Lady Rothes Collection. The shaped dish is painted in a more botanical fashion and is titled `Rosa aciphylla` in red.
