the domed cover and shallow bowl bearing decoration depicting good luck knots, lotus blossoms, waves, keyfret bands and medallions with characters on a yellow ground, the interior of both the cover and base depicting five bats circling a central medallion, the underside of the bowl and top of the cover both bearing a Guangxu six-character mark in iron red.
