此碗口沿微撇，弧腹斜收，下承圈足，器形周正典雅。胎骨洁白，胎体轻薄。内壁光素无纹，外壁罩以黄釉，釉质细腻均匀，色泽明艳，透明度较高。黄色釉的呈色剂一般为铁，用氧化焰低温烧成。根据《国朝宫史》记载，全黄最为贵重，是皇帝、皇太后和皇后的专利；半黄次之；黄底加其他色彩又次之；其他底色加黄龙者再次之。本品使用者等级较高，加之制作工整严谨，发色明艳，具有很高的收藏价值。
