净水碗为明代晚期至清代民间较为流行的一种器皿，因内盛净水供奉而得名，传世较为少见。本品上部类似小钵，侈口，腹部渐收至底，其下碗托修长，圈足外撇，通体以青花为饰，碗身以青花绘“老乞遇佛”故事图，该典故来源于《释氏源流应化事迹》，讲老乞受世尊教化并得到帮助的故事。
