Peruvian dolls in the Chancay manner, dolls of this nature were originally used as funerary offerings in pre-Columbian times however these may be more contemporary in nature. This collection is made up of two individual examples and two group examples of three figures woven together on a textile pallet and a pair of figures resting in a peke-peke. The figures are all typical in size approx 14 cms in length. Each doll is made of textiles (quite old due to the lack of colour) including wool and callico cotton with full skirts depicting geometric patterns, thread-covered limbs with embroidered facial features mostly feminine.
