Collection of a ship s diary, 11 certificates and documents as well as 4 orig. photographs from the estate of Captain Lieutenant Aloys Löffler (born 1833). - The diary with Löffler s records as a sea cadet or ensign on the training ships SMS Stein (April 1902 - March 1903), SMS Mars (April/May 1904) and SMS Zaehringen (Oct. 1904 - July 1905). - With entries a.o. on: North and Baltic Sea voyages, North Atlantic, Horta, Tangier, Barcelona, Gulf and port of Genoa, ports of La Spezia, Augusta, Beirut, Marmaris, Constantinople, Piraeus, Venice, Naples, Corfu, Ionian, Adriatic Sea etc. - With partially col. drawings of ships (SMS Wittelsbach a.o.), war flags, maps of Norway, Karlskrona, Barcelona, Marmaris, Constantinople, Corinth Canal, Corfu, ports of Genoa, Spezia, Horta etc. - Half leather with mounted title (block detached from cover, some leaves loose). - With handwritten corrections and notes by the instructors. - The certificates contain among others: as listed above, one of them (with signature of Kaiser Wilhelm II.). - Mostly with foldmarks and smaller marginal defects, partly soiled and with fold tears. - The photos with 3 Cartes Cabinet show portraits of Aloys Löffler, and a view of the SMS Tiger. - Löffler belonged to the staff of the SMS Nassau and was officer of the watch of the SMS Tiger. - Included: Autograph postcard to his father, the district physician Dr. Franz Löffler in Mellrichstadt. - 3 letters of confirmation for the award of the Friedrich August Cross II Class 1916 and the Cross of Honour for Front Fighters 1934. SMS Zaehringen (Okt. 1904 - Juli 1905). - Mit Einträgen u.a. zu: Nord- u. Ostseefahrten (Karlskrona, Skagerak, Odde, Bergen), nördl. Atlantik, Horta, Tanger, Barcelona, Golf u. Hafen von Genua, Häfen von La Spezia, Augusta, Beirut, Marmaris, Konstantinopel, Piräus, Venedig, Neapel, Korfu etc., Ionisches, Adriat. Meer usw. - Mit tls. kol. Zeichnnungen von Schiffen (SMS Wittelsbach, HMS Venerable u.a.), Kriegsflaggen, Karten von Norwegen, Karlskrona, Barcelona, Marmaris, Konstantinopel, Kanal von Korinth, Korfu, Häfen von Genua, Spezia, Horta etc. - HLdr. d. Anmerkungen der Ausbilder. - Die Urkunden enthalten u.a.: Patent als Fähnrich zur See 1903 / Leutnant zur See 1905 / Oberleutnant zur See 1908 / als Kapitänleutnant 1914 (mit eh. U. von Kaiser Wilhelm II.), Besitz-Zeugnis der Prinz-Regent Luitpold-Medaille 1912, Kgl. Militär-Verdienstorden 4. Klasse mit Schwertern 1916, Roter Adlerorden vierter Klasse. - Meist mit Faltspuren u. kleineren Randläsuren, tls. angeschmutzt u. mit Falzeinrissen. - Die Photos mit 3 Cartes Cabinet zeigen Portraits von Aloys Löffler (Sternitzki Nachf. Bamberg, um 1906) sowie eine Ansicht der SMS Tiger. - Löffler gehörte u.a. zum Stab der SMS Nassau und war Wachoffizier der SMS Tiger. - Dabei: Eh. Postkarte an seinen Vater, den Bezirksarzt Dr. Franz Löffler in Mellrichstadt. - 3 Bestätigungsschreiben zur Verleihung des Friedrich August Kreuz II. Klasse 1916 und des Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer 1934.
