Late Period, Ca. 664-332 BCA necklace of a wesekh collar design made of three strings threaded with tubular and spherical faience beads further embellished with evenly spaced gold shield-shaped beads. The two gold falcon heads of Horus fasten the collar, from which densely braided gold chain leads to a hook and eye closure. Restrung in the Victorian period with Egyptian revival gold.Size: L:350mm / W:30mm ; 38.54gProvenance: Property of a London Art gallery; formerly acquired on the US Art market; previously in US collection I.
