Hermann Kreidt (1906-?), Düsseldorf-based painter and graphic artist, studied in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Innsbruck and Berlin until 1930, taught at the Folkwang-Schule für Gestaltung in Essen and at the Staatliche Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf, member of the Rheinische Sezession. ''Afrikanisches'' Stillleben, naturalistic watercolour with shell, various fabrics, African wooden figure and vessel, unsigned, inscribed on verso, remains of mounting, enclosed four drawings by Kreidt of African objects in the Folkwang Museum Essen, sheet dimensions up to 62 x 49 cm.
