Description
Translation provided by Youdao
Ca. 200-300 AD.A beautiful, lightly green pitcher standing on a circular, concave base. The pear-shaped body with a decorative register of dimples tapers to a cylindrical neck that widens towards the splayed rim. The handle develops into a prominent arched finial which straddles the back of the vessel's trefoil lip. The excellent state of preservation makes this elegant jug an extraordinary work of the late Roman glass industry.
