明代铜炉，冲耳朝天，下垂乳足；束颈鼓腹，圆健有力。炉底减地阳文法镌篆书“琴书侣”精炼黄铜，质似黄金；包浆自然，皮壳润厚；隐亮含光，精而不器。宣德炉工艺名匠、宣德炉式、款式、色种的设计者吴邦佐，后来自行开铸仿宣，生产一批做工十分精良、器型唯美的铜炉（有的落款“琴书侣”），是继宣德炉后在铜器铸造工艺方面的又一次飞跃。
