The company achieved the extraordinary longevity of approximately one century, during which remained in the family ownership. The original maker's stamp "an antique oar" flanked by the PQ initials wont suffer but minor alterations during the firm's long life.The house was founded by the spoon maker Pierre-François QUEILLÉ, who engraved his stamp in 1808, continuing his activity until 1834.He is succeeded by Pierre-François QUEILLÉ II, cutler, who registers his own mark in October 23, 1834.
