Description The transcendent buddha Amitayus appears in the centre of the palace set within a square, enclosed by archways and surrounded by eight emanations of himself and concentric circles of lotus petals. The four gates of the mandala palace with the dharmacakra flanked by two gazelles. Above and below the mandala depictions of Hevajra, the blue mandala gatekeeper Acala and Yamantaka with danda and his pink pareda, the six-armed Mahakala and Shadbhuja Sita Mahakala. Gold inscription at the bottom. Mineral pigment and gold paint on fabric. Brocade mount and framed under glass.
