|此茶叶罐造型小巧，近椭圆形，做八棱使器形更具变化性。子母口相合，器内修褐色漆，漆面润泽光亮。外壁以雕漆装饰，其纹饰仿竹篾编织形制而成，细密繁缛，颇见功力。更为巧妙的是器身八棱之上底漆留白，其上嵌饰螺钿，但纹样亦为剔红雕漆中较为常见的钱纹。两种不同材质的工艺分别装饰，别具意趣，这种新颖的变化，可见匠者之巧思，使其兼备艺术性及实用性，迎合文人品位。
