Description AN AMETHYST FIGURE OF A LION, QING DYNASTYChina, 1644-1912. Carved as a recumbent lion, its tail and feet tucked underneath, the head looking towards the back, pierced through the neck with an aperture for suspension. The well-polished translucent stone with natural inclusions.Condition: Very good condition with few minor flaws, usual traces of age and wear, and natural fissures. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
