Description TWO ENGRAVED ANCIENT SASANIAN JADE PENDANTSPresumably Sasanian, ancient Persia /Iran, c. 3rd – 6th century. The first of lobed rectangular shape engraved with a four-legged animal and dots, the semi-translucent stone of a pale green color. The second of spade shape, engraved with an archer, the spinach green stone with lighter inclusions. Both pierced for suspension.Condition: Very good condition with minor weathering commensurate with age and few small notches.Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
