Ca. 100-50 BC. A Buggenum type bronze helmet with a rounded bowl, folded brim, and projection on the top for attaching a plume. This was the most iconic helmet of the Roman army from the 1st century BC. It provided excellent protection while also allowing for a full field of vision. Cf.
