此盖盒体呈菱花形，子母口，外壁如花瓣凹凸起伏，线条圆润，造型精致秀美。盖面形状犹如一朵俯视的盛开的菊花，花心以镶嵌工艺，花瓣满髹金漆，盒内大漆以朱红为主色调，金星点点极为悦目。通身髹黑漆光洁细润，朴实无华，与盖面、内壁的金、朱红色漆相得益彰，光泽柔和，清雅高贵。
