From the Marana Isola service, polychrome painted with the alliance coat of arms Marana-Isola amid flowers and foliage, Ø 17 cm, in a carved wooden frame, Ø23 cm, The service, to which this plate belongs, was, according to archive information of the Ginori Manufactory, made around 1750 for the noble family Isola Marana from Genoa. As a gift for his friend, the Marchese Laura Isola, Count Carlo Ginori had commissioned it, quite obviously in imitation of decorations from the Du Paquier manufactory in Vienna.
