Signed along the underside.Beatrice Wood was heavily involved in the Avant Garde movement in the United States. She founded and edited The Blind Man and Rongwrong magazines in New York City with Marcel Duchamp and Henri-Pierre Roche in 1917. These magazines were originally created to defend Duchamp's famous submission of a urinal under the pseudonym of R. Mutt to the First Exhibition of the Society of Independent Artists in April of that same year.
