Russian silver gilt and enamel case. Decorated throughout with graceful scrolling enamels in shades of blue, white, and red. The front with a double-headed imperial eagle inset with a red glass cabochon and with a red glass cabochon clasp. The back with an enamel floral motif. Stamped along the front with an 84 Kokoshnik mark and a maker's mark.Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Height: 3/4 in x width: 4 in x depth: 2 1/2 in.品相报告: The case is in excellent condition. No visible cracks, chips, or dents. No visible major losses to enamel; there are some light losses to the enamel, only visible under close scrutiny. There is slight discoloration to the gilt plate under the eagle symbol. Red glass jewels are intact with no visible chips, cracks, or scratches. Along the inner side of the case, there are some areas of discoloration. Despite its use and age, there is no heavy wear to the surface.
