possibly Ming dynasty, comprising: thick white glaze with underglaze blue design of qilin in center, 3-7/8 x 8-1/8 in.; with four character reign mark, garden scene featuring scholars and emperor, center with landscape within two bands, banding on interior rim, 3-1/4 x 8-1/2 in.; with four character reign mark, garden scene featuring scholars and emperor, metal mounting on rim, 3-3/8 x 8-5/8 in.; two carved wood standsNote: William Joseph Roache and his family moved from Australia to Hong Kong in the early 1960s. He was employed as an Agronomist, and his job took him out into the Chinese countryside. In these travels, he purchased Chinese art, typically porcelains, from locals and shops. Mr. Roache then moved to Singapore in the late 1960s and continued his passion for collecting.
